  • Student enrolled in HGU’s Partner University

  • Student nominated by HGU's Partner University

  • GPA: more than 2.5 out of 4.5

  • Language proficiency: B1~B2 Level of English Proficiency.

  • No official English Test score is required, however, students are expected to take courses in English or Korean.

  •  An open mind to new culture

  •  Willingness to follow HGU culture, code, and policy stated in the Handong Pledge

NOMINATION BY

HOME INSTITUTIONS

Deadline:

April 15 (For Fall semester)

October 15 (For Spring Semester)

Student should be nominated by their home institutions.

First step must be done by your home coordinator.

Exchange coordinator who is responsible for nomination should submit the nomination to Inbound staff.

SUBMISSION

Deadline:

April 30 (For Fall semester)

October 30 (For Spring semetser)

After nominated by home institutions, student will have guideline from HGU via Email.

*HGU ONLY accept the Online Application

Online application has two parts.

1) Filling out the information

2) Uploading all mandatory documents

    -  Transcripts of Academic Records (From freshmen)

    -  A copy of passport

    -  Recommendation letter (HGU form)

    -  Handong Honor Pledge (HGU form)

    -  A photo

APPLICATION SCREENING &

ACCEPTANCE LETTER

For Fall semester: May 1 ~ May 15

For Spring semester: November 1 ~ November 15

After screening procedure by OIA, the result and acceptance letter will be sent to students and their home institutions via email.

VISA DOCUMENTS

For Fall semester: Late May

For Spring semester: Late November

All exchange students must hold D-2 visa for their study in Korea as exchange students.

Visa documents including all papers supporting your visa interview will be sent to their home institution.
